    Dave says: This Windows Mobile 5.0 Premium OS handheld has everything you could want in a PDA. The iPAQ 2795 is fast, secure, and has enough memory to run as many applications as you want and, if it doesn’t, you can add memory. The hx2795 comes standard with Word Mobile, Excel Mobile, and PowerPoint Mobile, in addition to the standard applications like calendar, contacts, tasks, and notes. It also has the ability to connect to the internet and download email via its built-in Wi-Fi or Bluetooth connection. If you do run out of memory this unit has a SD and a CF card slot so you may add up to 4GB of memory in either slot. That is power. You have the speed and security your need to stay on top of everything that life throws at you.

    Dave says: The iPAQ hx2495 is the little brother of the hx2795 has most of the same features. It is still quite fast and secure and still has more memory than most. It comes with Windows Mobile 5.0 operating system which comes with the mobile versions of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. It also has dual memory slots for a SD card and a compact flash card so you can add memory if you need it.

    For $100 less, you get a PDA that is still faster than most with the memory and security you need in today’s world.

    Dave says: The Palm T|X is a powerful PDA that is fast, secure, and easy to use. The TX runs the Palm Garnett 5.4 operating system, which is a very clean and easy-to-use operating system. As opposed to the Windows Mobile OS, the Palm OS displays the application right in front of you. It also comes with the ability to run native Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files which means you will not lose any formatting when you open the files on your handheld. It also will open native PDF files.

    If you are a professional who is looking for a unit that will allow you to take your office with you, then the Palm TX is a great unit at a great price.

    Dave says: The iPAQ 111 is HP’s basic unit but don’t let that fool you; this is a powerful PDA. It has a SDIO card slot for adding device like a GPS or barcode scanner. It comes with Windows Mobile 6 classic, Office Mobile, and Outlook Mobile which means it has the power you need to get things done. It also includes Media Player 10 so you can listen to your MP3s or even watch a video on the 240x320 TFT screen. The iPAQ 111 is a good unit that has power, speed, and the applications you need from a solid PDA.

    Dave says: The Tungsten E2 is a good unit for everything you may need to run your business or personal life. It runs the Palm Garnett 5.4 operating system which is clean and easy to use. It comes with the Dataviz's Documents–To-Go software so you can read, edit, and create native Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. If you are looking for a PDA that has the capabilities for your personal and professional life the Palm Tungsten E2 is a great unit.

    Dave says: When it comes to value, Palm delivers. The T|X comes standard with Dataviz’s Documents-To-Go which allows you to read, edit, and create native Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and allows you to read native PDF files. The T|X also comes with a built-in MP3 player and video player. Speed and memory are not an issue with Palm because the application tend be smaller and run faster than Windows devices but if you do need more memory, you can add a SD card.

    The Palm T|X is a great unit that delivers on power, speed, and functionality.

    Dave says: The Palm Tungsten E2 comes with everything you need to manage your professional and personal day. This PDA comes with Documents-To-Go so you have native file formats and PDFs. You can connect to the Internet or download your email through Bluetooth enabled phones. You may entertain yourself by listening to Real Player or watching a video.

    Dave says: The iPAQ 111 delivers a great Windows Mobile experience at a great price. This PDA is running the new Windows Mobile 6.0 and delivers the applications you need for business with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. It also has the entertainment features you look for when you have down-time. The iPAQ 111 comes with Media Player 10 for MP3s and videos and games to keep you from getting bored in those meetings.

    Dave says: The Z22 is a great basic PDA that will hold thousands of contacts, events, and tasks plus games shopping list and more. This little unit also has a database application for creating list, and application for managing your expenses, plus games for kids. This Palm Z22 offers so much for such a little price.

  • HP iPAQ hx2495

    Dave says: Although the hx2495 is the most expensive PDA is this list you do get a lot for the money. This unit has built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth for communication and Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Mobile for getting work done. However if you are considering this unit, take a serious look at the iPAQ 111 or the Palm Tungsten TX first. Although the 2495 has a lot of features, it is pricey compared to the other units.
