Hot rollers are used to create the soft, wavy, feminine tressels that are in right now - just look at Carrie Underwood, Gisele Bundchen, and Kate Hudson. The larger the roller size the softer the wave, the smaller the roller size, the curlier the look.
Rollers today are a little more sophisticated than the olden days with new ionic conditioning and ceramic technology. They’re more efficient too – so there is no reason not to take that extra ten minutes to look great!
Modern rollers are larger and lighter than past products. The more expensive sets come with option of clips or clamps - I prefer clamps for hold and comfort. All rollers I have selected heat up quickly and work best if a light mist of spray is used after rollers are set while the is hair cooling.
Quick tip - if rollers feel warm around ears after you have set hair place tissue under roller.

the conair heat travel hairsetters are the bomb! I have travelled with these down the street or outta the country and they rock!
They are a nice compact size for travel. They work as advertised, just expect to let them heat up longer than the stated "quick curl" time.
I have long fine very straight hair, so most rollers slide right out. Remington's Care Setter rollers are wonderful, because they have a fabric-like middle that helps hair to grip and not slide off--also the clips that hold the rollers hold very firmly. The rollers also get nice and hot, and the plastic ends of the rollers don't get uncomfortably warm. I've had mine for almost 4 years now and they
great that you can control the heat of the rollers, hard to tunr the unit on and off...switch feels akward and at times feels like putting a puzzel together, trying to get the rollers back in their correct position...

My wife looks very attractive with rollers in her hair. Okay seriously, after she uses them, she looks great. She uses the Babyliss Pro and she is very happy with it.
